Midea Portasplit 12000 BTU Mobile Air Conditioner, Cooling A++/Heating A+, 42m², 39dB Silent Mode

Midea's PortaSplit combines the mobility of a portable air conditioner with the performance of a wall-mounted split. The indoor unit moves on wheels and the outdoor unit sits outside the window on a metal bracket that needs no drilling or changes to the window frame, which makes it a good choice for rented homes or anyone who wants to avoid building work. Unlike traditional portable units, it doesn't need a hose to push hot air outside. Heat is released by the outdoor unit through a heat exchanger, just like a conventional split, so the room's air pressure is unaffected and efficiency is the same: SEER 6.1 (A++) in cooling and SCOP 4.0 (A+) in heating, using heat pump technology. The outdoor unit weighs just 9.9 kg and has hidden handles on both sides for easy lifting. The two units are linked by a flat connecting tube 2 m long and only 27 mm thick, designed to carry the full weight of the outdoor unit. A standard window bracket is included, with optional brackets for skylights and French balconies. It cools, heats, dehumidifies and ventilates, with sleep mode and a timer, and the indoor unit goes down to 39 dB(A) at its quietest setting. You can control it with the remote, the app (which also shows energy use) or by voice with Alexa, Google and Siri. It runs at outdoor temperatures from 10 to 45 °C in cooling and from -10 to 30 °C in heating.
